4 September 2019, 13:36

Asian content industry is booming. Despite cultural differences which influence both story and viewing tastes, hundreds of hours of drama and entertainment shows from the region annually travel worldwide as readymades and formats.

On September 17 at KMW representatives of the three biggest Asian markets – China, South Korea and India -  are going to unveil the benefits and approaches to build successful business with the region.

Panel discussion, dedicated to cooperation possibilities with Asia is going to make some waves among the CIS and CEE guests of KMW, giving them opportunity to learn about the fast-changing media market landscape in each country, discover the key trends as well as explore if there’s a window for international co-production. As the whole world wonders, what’s the key to their success? What kind of business models are used to find the common ground with European and the US partners? How the Indian, Chinese and Korean media giants adjust to the new media market landscape that involves globalization, the companies’ mergers and obsessive demand for locally produced shows? Let’s find out from the experts:

The panel discussion will be moderated by Nicola Söderlund, Managing Partner of Eccho Rights - a global rights management company with offices in Stockholm, Istanbul, Madrid and Manila. It stands to mention that since 2018 the company is a part of CJ ENM, one of Asia’s largest media and entertainment companies. Nevertheless, Eccho Rights remains an independent company within the CJ ENM umbrella, operating under its existing management and brand. Nicola Söderlund will speak about the strong points of such merger and give us some keys to extensive leadership in business development with Asian countries. His more than 30 years’ experience in TV business and global knowledge will help to shape the discussion and discover the benefits from cooperation with this fastest growing market.

Panel discussion Cooperation with Asia: co-production, adaptation, distribution featuring experts from China, South Korea and India will take place on September 17, at 12:00 (Paris conference hall) at Hyatt Regency Kyiv (Ukraine).
